Overview

Organizational coaching is all about performance improvement — that of the individual and collectively of the organization itself.

That improvement can come through increasing personal skills through training (coaching being one sort), and it can come through process improvements. The critical issue has always been in identifying real need.

Coaching inside the organization used to be a matter of privilege and size. Big organizations were the early adopters of the practice. They were the first to see the value and, of course, they could afford it.

Efficacy: Do you have the skills and knowledge required to achieve the performance you desire, and if so, do you know how to apply your skills and knowledge effectively?

Ownership: Do you and others own what you do? Is everyone clear about what they are accountable for? Does everyone know what their personal responsibilities are? Does everyone respond to the needs of others?

Possibilities: What else could be achieved with the resources, equipment, people and skills you have?

Linkage: Does everything everyone does have a link to the achievement of the goals you or your organization is looking to achieve?

Evidence: How do you measure effectiveness? When do you know when you have achieved your goals? What evidence do you have that what you currently do is giving you what you require?

The questions that are raised by you and your team as you work through The PEOPLE Model™ Framework will help identify blockages and stimulate the creative energy and answers required to get the movement you need to break through.

Developmental Diagnostics - A few more tools beyond the Framework that will allow you to engage your client in new and insightful ways. With the Diagnostic Wheels and Task Analysis, you will uncover the important aspects of your client's issues, and you will be more able to talk about perspective. From perspective comes direction.
